Welcome to the Roll Hill Arts Academy

School of Roll Hill Arts Academy Jazz Band, award winners at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival & Folsom Jazz Festival 2012!

We are a private, after school arts academy, dedicated to creating exceptional performing groups and professional private instruction. Our storied teaching staff reflects our commitment to offer the highest quality one-on-one teaching available in the greater Sacramento area. Please check out our teacher bios here.

Our signature ensemble is the RHAA Jazz Band, boasting some of the most talented jazz musicians from surrounding high schools. The RHAA Jazz Band placed third overall among sixty-six high school bands entered in the 2012 Folsom Jazz Festival. This outstanding group of players, assembled in late 2011, is already making waves after their first public performance, and is set to continue to compete on the California festival circuit.

Future endeavors of RHAA will feature private and group instruction into the visual arts, including photography, sketching, and painting. In addition, beginning band and orchestra are in the planning stages, where elementary aged children with no prior experience will participate in a group class setting, receiving sectional instruction based on their instrument of choice.

The rehearsal for Tuesday, December 4th has been changed to Wednesday, December 5th at 5:00pm in the Folsom High School Music Room.

Sac State: Saturday, December 8th Warm Up Time is 5:00pm in Room 209; Performance Time is 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Congratulations to the Roll Hill Arts Academy Jazz Band!

Making their first appearance at the Folsom Jazz Festival in January, the Jazz Band placed Second in the AAA Division and Third Overall. Only the top five bands were selected for the finals out of over 60 in the competition.
